On the day

Many things will happen on The Last Day, a lot of which we are totally unaware. Some of it is 'Ilm ul ghayb, knowledge of the unseen, knowledge only Allah the Almighty knows. Some we dont know because we dont care to know.

There is so much to learn out there but we are all too lazy to read up and know about the unstoppable chain of events that will take place as yamul qiyaamah approaches or the events that will take place on the day itself.

For example: the hurricanes in Haiti, raging floods in Pakistan, the mudslides in Brazil, the floods in Australia, the tremors in New Zealand, the tsunami and earthquake in Japan.

Are all those not signs? are they not signs of the Day of Judgment?

Some of the minor signs have become increasingly common in todays society that is is just the norm to do those things.
 For example:
  • drinking alcohol
  • listening to music
  • commiting zina (adultry)
  • widespread riba (usery, interest)
  • competetions in constructing the tallest buildings
  • widespread killings
  • earthquakes
  • increased number of natural disasters, such as landslides
  • fashions that clothe women, but they still look naked i.e. tight fitted and see through clothing
  • increased number of females
These are just a FEW of the signs of the hour, now think, look around you, are these things not happning?
Why wait till the sun rises from the west or till the words form the Quran are erased??

"… The day that some of the Signs of your Lord do come, no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good (by performing deeds of righteousness) through his faith…" [al-An'aam 6:158]

Why wait till there is no time left??

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The Hour will not begin until the sun rises from the West, and when it rises and the people see it, they will all believe, but that will be when it will do a person no good to believe, if he believed not before, nor earned good (by performing deeds of righteousness) through his faith." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 11/352, and Muslim, 2/194)
