New Year

So its 2011!

SubhanAllah, one whole year has come and gone and what have we achived?

How many of us became better muslims?

How many of us bacem Hafidhul Qur'an?

How many of helped a non-believer see the light of Islam?

How many of us sacrificed for Allah?

Many of us get dragged into the celebration of the New Year, little do we realise that this tiny celebration can turn into a form of disbelief!

How is it disbeleif? Its just wishing someone New Year!!

We forget that its not our New Year, its theirs - our new year came and went and we didnt even bother acknowledging it.

I mean Allah clearly tell us in the Quran:

"This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islaam as your religion . ."

 (Maa'idah 5,3)

This is suggesting that these celebrations are forbidden in Islam.

May Allah guide us and keep us on the Straight path and keep us away from all these Fitnah.
